Do I have enough time? I can barely keep up as it is.
Participation in Vistage groups requires a significant time commitment. Meetings, workshops, and coaching sessions will take you away from work for at least one full day a month. However, the skills you learn will help you reclaim your time, both in the business and in your personal life. My clients discover very quickly that they more than make up for the time they devote to their group.
Can I afford it?
This is an investment, as you must pay Vistage membership fees or a coaching/advisory contract. As with the time commitment, my clients find that what they learn and the transformation they and their business experience pays off in the long run.
Do I belong in that group? I’m not comfortable sharing my mistakes and weaknesses with others.
We get vulnerable in my coaching groups, because it’s important that you see for yourself that you are not alone. You’re not the only one who makes mistakes and has to figure out how to work around their weaknesses. You will find this to be a collaborative, peer-driven environment where you will give and receive support as you grow to become a more effective leader.
My groups are not for you if you never make mistakes or admit to having weaknesses. It also isn’t for you if you prefer making decisions autonomously or feel that seeking advice from others, even peers, could compromise your autonomy and leadership style.
What is Vistage?
Vistage is an organization that offers peer advisory groups for business leaders, CEOs, and executives. It’s designed to help people develop their personal and professional selves, enhance their leadership skills, and improve their business acumen.
People join Vistage groups to tap into a supportive community of peers, gain access to valuable resources and expertise, and work on personal and professional development to become more effective leaders and achieve success in their businesses and careers.
Do I have to join a group?
Not necessarily. I do offer individual coaching on a case-by-case basis.
