John Baines
I’m the founder and managing partner of Insight Partners LLC, a management consulting firm based in metro Cincinnati serving regional and global manufacturers in the area of strategic planning, sales development strategies, and workforce and automation consulting. I am a Vistage Master Chair leading six peer advisory groups representing over 60 companies in the Cincinnati metro area, serving their CEOs, key executives and emerging leaders. I also serve on the advisory board of several privately-owned companies.
Prior to launching Insight Partners LLC in 2018, I was the President of HAHN Automation for 14 years where I oversaw double digit annual growth, established a sales and service subsidiary in Mexico and established the company as a premier solution partner in the US automotive and medical device markets. I also worked in the Detroit, MI area for Vibracoustic and AirBoss Flexible Products – both automotive suppliers for molded rubber components.
A deeply involved and passionate community partner, I served as board president of Gateway Community and Technical College and the European-American Chamber of Commerce (EACC). I currently hold board positions with the Gateway Community and Technical College and Northern Kentucky Workforce Investment Board (NKWIB) and am a partner with GROW NKY.
I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and B.A. in German Studies from Northwestern University. In addition to completing coursework for an M.Eng. in Automotive Engineering from the University of Michigan, I also received an MBA from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management. I am fluent in German, speaking it daily with my wife and twins.
